Ride the Train

Please note that the Museum is only open on the dates as noted below.


-Summer Operating Season 2013: Saturdays only: June through August, September 7 and September 21.
The museum and ticket office are open only on scheduled operating Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM,
with train trips departing at 10:00 AM and 1:30 PM.
The Museum is not open Sunday through Friday unless otherwise noted in the Special Events section on this page.




Special Events for 2013!!

-Caboose Day 2013: Saturday only: October 5
Come join us for Caboose Day and ride one of the cabooses and relive a by-gone era of railroading!!
Train trips departing at 10:00 AM and 1:30 PM only!!
Regular ticket prices apply.


-Pumpkin Patch Ride 2013: Saturday only: October 29
Riders will get an opportunity to get off the train at Greenbrier where each child will get to select a pumpkin!!
Trains will only operate to Greenbrier (6.5 mile round trip).

Train trips departing at 10:00 AM and 1:30 PM only!!
Ticket price for all ages is $15.00 for this event.


-Steam Train 2013: November
Come join us and see the steam and smell the smoke and ride aboard the Steam Train pulled by a fully operational steam locomotive!!
This will be an exciting event, so don't miss it!!

-Train Rides with Santa 2013: November and December
Come join us for train rides with Santa who rides each train. And don't forget to bring your letters for Santa before he heads back to the North Pole!!

We currently offer two types of charter service: The Group Coach Charter or the Dining/Lounge Car Charter.
Private train charters are available anytime during non operating times. All charters are operated on the Museum's railroad only.

TICKET INFORMATION

NEW! PURCHASE ONLINE TICKETS HERE!


First Class**: $20 per passenger all ages Ride with style in the Dining car with large picture windows, seating at tables for four, a drink and snack, and heat/air conditioner. Limited tickets based on a first come/ first serve basis. First class car will not be available during special events.
Coach: $12 for adults

$9 children ages 2 to 12
Ride in our historic 1952 passenger cars which includes bench seating along open windows and a narrated tour.
Caboose: $12 per passenger all ages Enjoy a relaxing trip in a 1940 Nickle Plate Railroad caboose and get great pictures on the return train trip as the first car. For $1 extra per passenger, ride in the upper cupola for the trip (only 4 seats, based on very limited availability.) Caboose may not be available during special events.
Open Air Car: $15 per passenger all ages Have the best view of the line and the countryside. Please note: this car will run rain or shine and is open to the sun and other elements, please dress accordingly. Open air car will not be available during special events.
Discounts: Senior $2.00 off on all ticket types except First Class car. Ages 65 and up with ID.
Military $2.00 off on all ticket types except First Class car. Active or retired individual with Military ID.

You can still purchase tickets before the scheduled trip at our ticket office (Saturdays only)

**The First Class Car may not be available due to upgrades. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
