Transportation Day on May 21, 2005 was held at the Museum. This event operated by the South Carolina Department of Transportation was highly successful. All types of equipment related to transportation was onsite for everyone to see and have a hands on experience with along with the Museum providing free train rides. The WIS-TV 10 News Hawk helicopter paid a visit as well.
