The South Carolina Railroad museum is about to kick off our 2012 Operating Season with the Easter Bunny Eggspress on March 31 and April 7.
(Saturdays only). We will still be available for private charters anytime weekdays or weekends.

Located at 110 Industrial Park Road, Winnsboro, SC 29180, we feature an hour long train ride with 5 miles operating track, a gift shop featuring unique
railroad items, a Gallery with historic pictures and artifacts, a walk though display train, plenty of rolling stock and more! Parking is free and in front of the museum, with picnic tables and benches for guests to bring a lunch or purchase snacks and drinks from our gift shop. Accessible to
persons with disabilities, we offer wheelchair ramps, handicap accessible restrooms, a train loading platform, and our friendly volunteers.

To 110 Industrial Park Road, Winnsboro, SC 29180:
From Charlotte and the North Take I-77 south to South Carolina Route 34 (Exit 34). Turn right at the bottom of the ramp. Follow SC 34 about 5 miles and turn left at the steam locomotive. The entrance to the Museum is about a hundred yards on the right.
From Camden and the East Take I-20 to Camden. Exit on US 521 north, turn right at the bottom of the ramp. Proceed into downtown Camden and turn left onto US 1. Follow US 1 about 5 miles and turn right onto SC 34 towards Winnsboro. The Museum is located off of SC 34 about 5 miles from I-77. Turn left at the steam locomotive. The entrance to the Museum is about a hundred yards on the right. -OR- Take I-20 to Columbia and turn north on I-77 towards Charlotte, NC to SC 34 (Exit 34). Turn left at the bottom of the ramp. The Museum is about 5 miles from I-77 on the left at the steam engine.
From South East Columbia Take I-77 north towards Charlotte, NC to SC 34 (Exit 34). Turn left at the bottom of the ramp. The Museum is about 5 miles from I-77 on the left at the steam engine.
From Downtown Columbia Take US 321 north to Winnsboro. At the Guardian Plant (on the left) the road goes back to four lanes. Make a right just past the plant onto Industrial Park Road. The Museum is on the left at the end of the road.
From Orangeburg, Charleston and areas South of Columbia Take I-26 east to Columbia. Take I-77 north towards Charlotte, NC to SC 34 (Exit 34). Turn left at the bottom of the ramp. The Museum is about 5 miles from I-77 on the left at the steam engine.
From Newberry and the West Take I-26 to SC Route 34 (exit 74). Turn east on SC 34. Follow 34 to US 321 and turn right on US 321. Turn left onto SC 34 and take the next right, just past the steam locomotive. The Museum's driveway is about a hundred yards on the right


-Summer Operating Season 2012: Saturdays only:June through August, September 1 and September 15.
The museum and ticket office are open only on scheduled operating Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with train trips departing at 10:00 AM and 1:30 PM.

Private train charters are available anytime during non operating times. Can be booked for anything- school trips, scout troops, weddings, birthday parties, family reunions, Church Socials, business meetings, and more! We currently offers two types of charter service: The Group Charter or the Private Charter.
The Group Charter is for any group that would like to reserve the passenger coaches for a trip. The Dining/Lounge Car Charter is for small groups who would like to reserve the Dining Car for a meeting and/or a private trip. The Dining/Lounge car is both heated and air-conditioned. All charters are operated on the Museum's railroad only.

**The First Class Car might be temporarily be unavailable due to upgrades. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.***First Class: $20 per passenger. Ride with style in the Dining car with large picture windows, seating at tables for four, a drink and snack, and heat/air conditioner. Limited tickets based on a first come/ first serve basis. First class car will not be available during special events
Coach Class: $12 for adults/ $9 children 12 and under. Ride in our historic 1952 passenger cars which includes bench seating along open windows and a narrated tour.
Caboose Class:$12 per passenger. Enjoy a relaxing trip in a 1940 Nickle Plate Railroad caboose and get great pictures on the return train trip as the first car. For $1 extra per passenger, ride in the upper cupola for the trip (only 4 seats, based on very limited availability.) Caboose may not be available during special events.
Open Air Car: $15 per passenger. Have the best view of the line and the countryside. Please note: this car will run rain or shine and is open to the sun and other elements, please dress accordingly. Open air car will not be available during special events.

SCRM reserves the right to restrict riders due to crew limitations. Family Memberships apply to only one free rider at a time and only one vote at annual meetings. Corporate Memberships do not have voting rights.
